What the Hash Means

Here's the secret hiding under the whole game: every single time your pickaxe hits a block, it works out a real piece of Bitcoin maths. Let's take a look at it.

See it for yourself

Press F3 to open the info overlay, then mine a block and watch. You'll see a long string of letters and numbers flash up. That's a hash — a scramble the game works out from the block, from you, and from the exact moment you hit it. It's the same kind of maths real Bitcoin mining uses. Every swing of your pickaxe does a tiny bit of that work.

That's what "Proof of Play" means: you're not pretending to mine, you really are. It's there to show you how mining actually works — by letting you do it. Hidden, but visible. Visible, but harmless.

The hash does real work, too

That same hash isn't just for show — it's the exact thing deciding whether the block you're swinging at, deep underground with a diamond pickaxe, turns up a Satori: the rarest find in the game. No luck potion, no shop, nothing to buy — just real effort, honestly checked.

About "sats" and Bitcoin

You might spot the word sat somewhere in the game — it's the tiniest piece of a Bitcoin. Bitcoin support in Axe'n'Stax is an optional layer a server's owner can choose to switch on for their own self-hosted world, and it's off everywhere by default. It isn't finished yet, so right now, on every world, no real money changes hands — full stop. There's no wallet, and nothing to bank.

Whenever it does land, the design stays the same as everything else here: a parent switches it on, never you, and any reward is a fixed, known amount for real effort — the same hash you just watched — never a roll of the dice.

Don't play for the money

Even once that layer exists, this was never meant to be a way of making money — the point is that the maths behind every hash is real, and now you've seen it happen for yourself.

🎉 You did it — that's the twelve!

You've seen the maths under the magic. That hash on every swing is the one thing no other game has, and now you know exactly what it's for.

And that's the whole journey done — you can mine, build, cook, survive, fight and farm, you've got your own chest and a wolf at your side. Fancy more? Try Save Your First Build, Make It Your Own to paint your world however you like, or test yourself against Hash Dash and Satori Rush.
